We are pleased to welcome to our church family, Dr. Ronald
Holmes and his wife, Rosemarie. Ronnie is a graduate of
Tuscaloosa High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He received his
Associate of Science Degree from Marion Military Institute in
Marion, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama for the
New College Program. For theological studies he has attended
Grace Bible Institute in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Trinity Baptist
College in Jacksonville, Florida; Mid-America Baptist Theological
Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee and New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary in Louisiana, where he received his Masters
of Divinity and his Doctor of Ministry.
He and Rosemarie will celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary
on September 26 of this year. They have a daughter, Kelley, and
two sons, Scott and David. Kelley and her husband live in
Gadsden, Alabama and have two lovely daughters. The sons are
single and live and work in Tuscaloosa. The Holmes are avid
University of Alabama fans, so beware Georgia and Auburn fans!
Ronnie and Rosemarie are getting settled into the newly
remodeled parsonage and are looking forward to serving with us at
Tallapoosa East Baptist Church. We welcome them both with
outstretched arms and hope they feel right at home very soon!

Sunday School begins at 9:45 am with classes for all ages
followed by Worship Services at 11 am. Come, be a part of this
special welcome for our new pastor as we serve the Lord together!
